Decree of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) № 220
On the territory of Yakutia, since February 28, a ban has been imposed on the employment of foreign citizens under patents in a number of economic activities. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the republic Aisen Nikolaev.
The introduction of the ban is one of the main mechanisms for protecting the national labor market and priority employment of citizens of the Russian Federation within the powers of the subjects of the Russian Federation.
The establishment of the ban makes it possible to maintain a balance of interests of employers and Russian workers in the labor market of the republic and at the same time encourage employers to minimize the use of foreign labor and replace migrant workers with Russian citizens.
According to the decision adopted by the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), economic entities operating on the territory of the republic in accordance with the types of activities listed in the Decree are prohibited from attracting foreign citizens engaged in labor activity on the basis of patents.
