Every foreign citizen who arrives on the territory of the Russian Federation and submits documents for obtaining a patent for work, a temporary residence permit, a residence permit or citizenship must undergo a medical examination at a state-authorized medical institution and receive an opinion on the results of a medical examination for submission to the Office on migration issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The list of medical organizations
In connection with the entry into force from 29.12.2021 of the provisions of the Federal Law of 01.07.2021 № 274-FZ, foreign citizens and stateless persons (except for certain categories) arriving in the Russian Federation after 29.12.2021 must undergo a medical examination.
Medical examination of foreign citizens allows to identify diseases dangerous for others and to protect the health of Russian citizens and other persons with whom a foreigner may potentially come into contact during his stay on the territory of Russia.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs accepts a medical report on the results of medical examination of a foreign citizen only from medical institutions authorized by the state, accordingly, medical examination of foreign citizens should be carried out only in authorized health care institutions. To undergo medical examination, foreign citizens and stateless persons may apply to authorized medical organizations of the Republic. The medical examination includes laboratory and X-ray examinations and examinations by specialized doctors.
